• FAFSA on File before state of Missouri FAFSA priority deadline (typically Feb 1)
• Remain <=$75,000 Income
• Remain Missouri Resident
• Be Enrolled Full Time (12+ Hours)

• Meet Missouri residency requirement
• Be admitted to a Direct Connect partner school
• Receive an Associate’s degree from Direct Connect partner school

To be considered for participation in University of Central Missouri's Midwest Student Exchange Program (and pay 150% of University of Central Missouri's regular resident tuition, plus all required fees), students must be legal residents of one of the participating states (Maintains legal residency in Indiana, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, Ohio or Wisconsin).  Residents from Kansas and Nebraska will already receive a benefit through the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship, which allows students to pay the "in-state" tuition for students attending classes at the main campus in Warrensburg.

Criteria for transfer students:

• Regularly-admitted to UCM by March 1,
• U.S. Citizen or permanent resident,
• Incoming undergraduate 2-year or 4-year college/university transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
• Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
• Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.50 or higher on all post-high school, college-level classes completed through the:
  
  • Fall semester if transferring to UCM for the Spring semester, or
  • Spring semester if transferring to UCM for the Fall semester
• Transfer students must have earned a cumulative transfer grade-point average of at least 3.5.

Funding received from this program cannot be combined with non-resident programs, which cover non-resident fees.

The total number of Midwest Student Exchange Program participants is limited to 100. Current recipients receive priority consideration.

Recipients of the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship, Second Generation Grant for Transfers, Non-Resident Fee Credit, Non-Resident Scholar Award, non-resident fee portion of the UCM Educational Development Program, or other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees may not also benefit from the Midwest Student Exchange Program.

Transfer students may benefit from the Midwest Student Exchange Program for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

• Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
• Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
• Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of each academic year.

• Must provide proof of PTK membership
• Regularly-admitted to UCM
• Incoming undergraduate transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
• Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student in the Fall 2025 semesters to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
• At least 24 earned college level credit hours for all classes completed prior to admission.
• Cumulative transfer grade point average of 3.5 or higher on all post-high school, college level classes completed prior to admission.

The Phi Theta Kappa Scholarship may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

• Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
• Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
• Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.25 upon completion of each academic year.

• Regularly-admitted (not on academic probation) to UCM,
• Incoming undergraduate 2-year or 4-year college/university transfer student who has never before attended UCM [Credit received from UCM as a non-degree seeking student (visiting high school, visiting college, dual admission, dual credit) will not disqualify one from consideration.],
• Transfer from an accredited 2-year or 4-year, public or private college/university and begin attending UCM as a full-time student to pursue his/her first baccalaureate degree,
• Non-resident of Missouri, and
  Child/grandchild or step-child/step-grandchild of an individual who earned a degree (bachelors, masters, education specialist, or cooperative doctorate) from University of Central Missouri.

Recipients of the Second Generation Grant for Transfers may not also benefit from the UCM Bound Out-of-State Scholarship, Non-Resident Fee Credit, Midwest Student Exchange Program, Non-Resident Scholar Award, non-resident fee portion of the UCM Educational Development Program, or other programs that cover all or partial non-resident fees.

A non-resident fee total will appear on the UCM account of Second Generation Grant for Transfers recipients. The Second Generation Grant for Transfers will cover up to $1000 per semester of the non-resident portion of tuition charges.

The Second Generation Grant for Transfers may be received for a maximum of six (6) semesters of undergraduate study provided the recipient:

• Maintains status as a full-time UCM undergraduate student (12 or more undergraduate credit hours) each semester, and
• Remains in good academic standing (not be placed on academic probation), and
• Maintains a minimum cumulative UCM grade-point average of 3.0 upon completion of each academic year, and
• Maintains legal residence status as a non-Missouri resident
