Step 1: Apply

Begin Application to UCM

 

  • If you are a service member or veteran you will apply as a transfer student. 
  • If you were a previous student and took more than a semester off, you will need to fill out the re-admit application
  • Send your official transcripts to processing@ucmo.edu.

Step 2: Transcripts

Request official college transcripts to be sent directly to UCM’s Office of Undergraduate Admissions at processing@ucmo.edu or through an electronic transcript service. If you have less than 24 college credit hours, you will also submit your high school transcripts and ACT/SAT scores.

  • Service members and veterans must submit military transcripts. Visit the military transcripts section for help.
  • UCM provides 11 credit hours for basic training: CJ 3005, HLTH 1100, GNED 1925, MS 1100 and Air Force receives CJ 3005, HLTH 1100, GNED 1925, and Elective Credit. 
  • To see what credit you will receive from your military training, visit our Transfer Course Search page. 
    • To find your military training articulations, you can use the following in the Institution Name search: US Army Ace Credit, US Coast Guard Ace Credit, US Marines Ace Credit, US Navy Ace Credit, Community College of the Air Force. 
      • Military service-related credit is posted as transfer credit and does not count towards upper-level hours requirements. This credit is denoted with a grade of CR (credit) on the Central Degree Audit and UCM transcript. Military service-related credits are not limited to a particular number of hours awarded and do not count towards the 30 hours of maximum CR credit explained under Other Types of Credit.
      • Credits from the Community College of the Air Force (CCAF): Students with CCAF credit should have official transcripts sent to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions (WDE 1400, 660-543-4290).
      • Credits from the Joint Services Transcript (JST): Credits earned by service personnel in specialized training programs of the United States Army, Navy, Marines or Coast Guard under certain circumstances may be accepted. The guidebook published by the American Council on Education (ACE) is used to determine the credit value. Official Joint Services Transcripts (JST) should be sent to the Office of Military and Veteran Services (UN 117, 660-543-8776) which will review and determine the appropriate credit, if applicable.

  • This application may be completed each year beginning October 1.

If you are still actively serving (Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves) it is recommended service members speak with Educational Services Officer (ESO) or counselor within their Military Service prior to enrolling. 

 

After Admission

Step 1: Enroll in Courses

  • It is encouraged to contact the Success Advising Center if you are an undergraduate student to get assistance with enrolling in courses. 
  • Graduate students will need to contact their Program Coordinator, which can be found when naviagting to your programs page. For additional information contact the Graduate and International Student Services.
  • When enrolling in courses and using VA educational benefits or Military Tuition Assistance (TA) it is important to make sure your courses are degree requirements and a part of your degree program.
