What is New Student Orientation?

New Student Orientation is your launchpad into life at UCM! During this one-day program, you’ll dive into campus resources, connect with your academic program, and meet with your Success Advisor to review your class schedule and ask questions. You’ll also get a first look at campus life, meet other incoming students, and start building friendships that will carry into your first semester. Orientation is all about giving you the tools, connections, and confidence you need to hit the ground running at UCM.

Is New Student Orientation required?

New Student Orientation is a required event for all first-time freshmen students entering the University of Central Missouri. It is not requried for transfer students, but strongly encouraged. If you are unable to make the scheduled orientation dates, please contact us at orientation@ucmo.edu and we will gladly help find the best option for you!

When should I sign up for New Student Orientation?

If you’re admitted for the fall semester, you can begin signing up for Orientation starting February 1 through your MyAdmit account. If you're admitted for the spring semester, you can begin signing up for Orientation in your MyAdmit account starting September 15.
