March 24, 2022University of Central Missouri marketing students competed against some of the top students and teams in their academic discipline this month through the National Collegiate Sales Competition (NCSC) March 4-7. They represented the only team in the event from a Missouri public university. It was hosted by Kennesaw State University in Kennesaw, Georgia, and is considered the largest and most competitive sales competition in the nation.
March 23, 2022As part of the University of Central Missouri’s efforts to promote conversations with distinguished visitors, UCM will host civil rights activist, author, and educator Angela Davis for a public presentation at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, in Hendricks Hall. Her speech is open to all who are interested in attending, and there is no admission charge. The event is sponsored by the Center for Multiculturalism and Inclusivity.

The UCM Student Government Association will recognize her publicly as the 2022 recipient of the James C. Kirkpatrick Excellence in Governance Award at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, in the read and relaxation area, near the west entrance of the Kirkpatrick Library. The public is invited to attend this award presentation, which will be hosted by members of the SGA.

The play is on the lighter side of a dark comedy and follows the comings and goings of a group of dedicated parents as they work to hold their dwindling PTA group together. The play performs at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday Feb. 24-26 and at 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 27. ASL Interpreters will be available at the Thursday, Feb. 24 show, and the Sunday matinee is pay-what-you-can. This play is for mature audiences only.
