May 27, 2022University of Central Missouri Theatre and Dance recognized a number of its students and faculty through its annual awards and scholarship dinner during the spring semester on the stage at the James L. Highlander Theatre. UCM’s Theta Alpha Phi, National Theatre Honorary Fraternity hosted the banquet with nearly 90 faculty, students, and guests attending the event which took place for the first time since 2019, and featured the presentation of 46 scholarships worth $40,000 awarded.

Their presentation on the redesign of The Ozark Dining Facility at WAFB brought base representatives and campus members together to hear the students’ final proposal for renovations to a space they believe will positively resonate with users.

One student’s creation fetched a whopping $10,000 from a bidder who wanted to support this charitable program to help Kansas Citians in need of financial support.
